Student Philanthropy Council
The URI Foundation’s Student Philanthropy Council (SPC) is a diverse and creative group of students who have joined together to help raise awareness about the impact philanthropy has on the entire University community.
The main objectives of the SPC are to educate the student-body and foster a spirit of giving by planning engaging and meaningful awareness and fundraising activities for the campus. The Council’s message is simple: donor support is critical in enhancing the overall learning experience for everyone. Gifts of any size, on their own, or when combined together, have the power to make a tangible impact on the University community.
Students who serve on the council have the opportunity to plan campus events, work with the annual giving office, and meet and network with alumni and others on campus while also enhancing their personal leadership skills.
Recently, SPC students were out on campus celebrating
National Philanthropy Week by raising awareness for the new
Students First Fund. Read more here!
Students who are interested in promoting philanthropy awareness are welcome to join! For more information on the Student Philanthropy Council please contact Joanne Gemma, Assistant Director of Annual Giving at the URI Foundation at 401.874.5514 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
