Student Phonathon Employment Information
URI Phonathon callers are part o
f a team of about 30 undergraduates working to raise funds for the University. Students participating in the Phonathon program call URI alumni and parents of current students as a means of updating records and providing information about current events on campus and other URI happenings. They also provide information about a variety of programs supported by The Fund for URI.
In addition to gaining excellent work experience, student phonathon callers, like those pictured, have the opportunity to work with fellow URI students in a fun and supportive environment. It’s a great chance to network with alumni, improve your public speaking skills and to participate in a wonderful incentive program.
The Phonathon Program runs throughout the fall and spring semesters. (Calling does not take place during exams, extended holidays or vacations, such as winter and spring break.) The Phonathon Program is conveniently located on campus, in the basement level of Roosevelt Hall.
Student phonathon callers must be able to commit to at least two shifts per week (the same two shifts each week).
