Mary
E. Fetherston, Winner of the Administrative
Excellence Award and Supervisor in the
Language Lab. Mary was selected for her
unstinting dedication which includes giving
her home phone number to faculty for emergency
assistance at any hour. She is a "take-charge,"
"can-do" kind of person with extraordinary
energy and a cheerful, encouraging demeanor.
Mary L. Pinch, Winner of the Staff
Excellence Award and Principal Clerk Typist
in the Labor Research Lab. Mary's professionalism,
smooth efficiency and talent for multi-tasking
enables her to do the impossible while
maintaining an upbeat, friendly and empathetic
manner. She is an outstanding mentor to
the students and an invaluable asset of
the Labor Research Lab.
Professor Musa K. Jouaneh, Winner
of the Teaching Excellence Award and Professor
of Mechanical Engineering, Musa won for
his passionate, innovative approach to
teaching as demonstrated through flawless
preparation, unique presentation and total
availability to his students. One of Musa's
students said, "Dr. Jouaneh does more
than just teach, he enlightens." Read

Professor Joseph S. Rossi, Winner
of the Scholarly Excellence Award and
Psychology Professor. Joe's cutting edge
research has made URI's Cancer Prevention
Research Center (CPRC) one of the best
research, training and service centers
in the nation. He is one of the top 12
most cited authors in psychology and a
nationally known expert in skin cancer
prevention.
