URI Endowment Funds
The URI Foundation posts, each year, a complete list of endowed funds
created by our generous donors. Funds included on this list represent the University's complete endowment portfolio, including those created to support scholarships, faculty, programs and capital projects. Descriptions are included. Though all funds are listed, some funds may not have reached the minimum gift value required to permit a payout. Earnings on these funds will continue to be reinvested into the principal until they payout.
Endowment stewards are advised of their fund's market value directly and in writing by the URI Foundation, typically in June. Distribution amounts for use in the next academic year are also shared at that time. This information will not be found on the website listing.
The Foundation also produces, each year, an overall performance report
with investment activity highlights for the entire endowment portfolio.
