The Rhody Senior Challenge
The 2015 Rhody Senior Class Challenge is on!
Members of the Class of 2015 have launched a student-led initiative to raise funds in support of the University of Rhode Island.
Each and every one of us, whether we know it or not, has benefitted from the generous contributions donors have made to our beloved URI. These donations have, indeed, funded direct scholarships, which is what most of us think of when we think about private support. But the generosity of URI's donors has extended well beyond scholarships, providing faculty support, funding experiential learning opportunities for students, and enhancing facilities across campus - just a few of the examples of where private support is impacting the entire URI community.
Our financial goal is to get significant participation from member of the Class of 2015 by June 30, 2015! To that end, your gift of any size, whether it be $5.15 (May, 2015!) or $20.15, will count and will make a difference!
As graduating seniors and the newest group of soon-to-be young alumni, this is our chance to recognize the efforts of past and current donors by becoming donors ourselves. It’s also a great way for us to ignite a philanthropic spirit in next year’s rising seniors, juniors, sophomores and freshmen as well!
A new giving option this year is the URI Students First Fund which provides an ongoing source of emergency financial assistance so that students can continue their studies at URI if faced with unexpected and extraordinary financial or individual challenge. However, you can give to whatever program or area means the most to you and no matter what you choose to support, giving is easy. Just click here, or on the ‘Give Now’ button at the top of this page to make your gift immediately with your credit card. The drop down menu allows you to choose from dozens of allocations. You can even give in honor of someone special such as a faculty member who inspired you! If you prefer to send a check, make your check payable to the URI Foundation (please note the "Senior Challenge") and mail to PO Box 7900, Kingston, RI 02881. You can also call the Foundation at 401.874.4786 to make your Senior Challenge gift over the phone.
Please join us in establishing a new legacy at URI, one that will allow us to leave our mark and show our gratitude for all that URI has given us. Thank you for your consideration and support. Go Rhody!
